There is something about the outside of the Horse that is Good the inside of a Man

~Churchill

Each student possesses a unique and distinctive potential that is entirely their own. These students should not be defined by their disability.  Mental and emotional development is encouraged through the calm, assertive demeanor necessary for working with horses.  Once students are mounted on their horse, they progress at their own pace through a program consisting of more than 70 steps, each designed to enhance balance and coordination.

The movement of the horse stimulates the brain to rebuild synapses that may be missing or damaged due to trauma or mental disabilities. This process enhances communication between both sides of the brain. Additionally, students benefit from the isometric exercise involved in riding, which strengthens core, leg, and arm muscles.
